Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” (KJV) 

Dear Friends,

 

In January, we began our search for new housing due our need to move from the missionary housing.  At the same time, George was offered a temporary part-time job with a company that he had been associated with through our mission housing.  The Lord works out all our needs through miracles.  We say we were searching for housing but like this part-time job our new housing called us.  Through, a work associate with George’s very small business, we were told about a man who needed to rent out a house with two acres.  God is so good.   February, we moved into new housing.

 

The house is just right for our family and it is only 9 miles from our home church (where we are still very busy in the Lord’s work).  The job on the other hand was about an hour away with low pay and longer hours than expected leaving little time for mission planning.  The Lord’s timing is always the right time.  George was laid off from this job (in May)  just the time that our business phone began ringing with jobs needed to cover our needs.  We began once again to lean on the Lord for all our daily needs through our HVAC business.

 

Our spring and summer was filled with children’s ministry work at our local church. We also served in the needs for celebration of Memorial Day events, Mother’s Day Banquet, Father’s Day annual camp, Our Pastor’s Son’s Wedding Party and recent July 4th Sunday school picnic.

 

We prayed for a bus for our local church and last Saturday George attended a bus auction with Pastor Fulleylove and  Brother Paul De Martino.  Our church is now blessed with a 1997 Diesel Bus just in time for our up coming VBS Program.  Currently George is the only one with a “CDL” license with a “P” (Passenger) endorsement. Bro Paul is planning on adding the “P” to his license soon. Pray for others to follow as we (Judy and I and kids) are preparing to  leave for Alaska this time next July.  It will be a true blessing to serve by bringing children and possibly their parents into our weekly services.  Please pray for our VBS program, this is the first attempt of the church people preparing their own program.  It is exciting to see people work together to spread of the Lord’s word in hopes of seeing people saved.

 

 

 

 

Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart: and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” (KJV)

 

Praise the Lord for wisdom and direction.  We are currently working towards the goal of reaching the field by next summer.  We have begun a savings from our supporters with the intention of leaving for Fairbanks, Alaska in Spring.  We believe the Lord is leading us to put our efforts into contacting other churches to gain support for our “Outfit and Passage”. 

 

Our intentions are to work in the field between Fairbanks and Fort Yukon. Our goal is to follow through with seeking support from the local churches in Alaska. Additional support is needed to help us reach the people in the bush of Alaska’s interior. The Lord instilled His calling in us 4 years ago now and we feel the rest of our support could be raised while we are there actively involved with the Native People. Time would be better spent living with and ministering to the people God gave us a burden for. We are praying (and fully expect) for that support to come as we are there working on the field.  Please pray to that end as we “Fully follow after God”….As Caleb said “I want that mountain”.

Prayer Request: 

 

  1. Please pray for our efforts to get to the field in a timely fashion.
  2. Pray that the Lord leads us to the churches that are able to help with the funds needed for our outfit and passage.
  3. Pray that our children would stay on a timely path with their studies.
  4. Pray for Mike Foster, a young man that asked the Lord to be his Savior just recently. He has been missing from church since his decision. Pray the Lord blesses our visit on his house and family. Pray for his spiritual growth.
